In St. Petersburg , the police are investigating in connection with a reported robbery that occurred on November 1, the local department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement. The goal of the criminals was 20 tons of meat.

On Wednesday, unidentified people attacked a Volvo truck with a load of meat in its trailer. The incident happened around 13:30 on Nepokorennyh Avenue. The driver and the freight forwarder were in the truck at that time. The robbers beat the men, put them in a Mercedes car and took them to the forest, where they left them.

The truck itself was later found at the same spot where the attack took place. However, the cargo of meat in the trailer was no longer there.

In Brazil in 2011, robbers managed to steal 50 tons of corn from a train at full speed. The criminals used thick grease, which they smeared on the rails. Because of her, the driver could not stop.
