The crisis, pandemic 2020 was a successful year for collectors who collect debts in favor of banks. They received problem debts of individuals for 582 billion rubles. - a record amount since at least 2013, when such statistics are kept. This follows from data from the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies.

At the same time, debt collectors more often began to transfer debts with a small delay - up to 90 days, the share of such loans reached a third of all overdue debts. In general, in 2020, the volume of overdue retail loans increased by approximately RUB 168 billion, or 22%. As of March 1, 2021, the debt of the population on loans to banks amounted to 20.8 trillion rubles, follows from the statistics of the Central Bank. Since the beginning of the year, it has increased by almost 800 billion rubles, and for the entire last year - by 2.4 trillion rubles, or 13.6%.
