The authorities of St. Petersburg explained the "explosive" increase in the incidence

The “explosive” growth in the incidence of CORONAVIRUS in St. Petersburg is due to the fact that until recently, teenagers could not be vaccinated, said Vice Governor Boris Piotrovsky, the St. Petersburg TV channel reports.

“This is the most vulnerable group of the population, these are people under the age of 18 who have not yet had the opportunity to be vaccinated. The vaccine for teenagers has just appeared in St. Petersburg, only now the vaccination of this group is starting, it turned out to be the most unprotected in our country, ”he explained the introduction of new coronavirus restrictions for minors in St. Petersburg.

In St. Petersburg, minors will be banned from going to zoos, cinemas and museums Society

Earlier, the St. Petersburg authorities banned children and teenagers from visiting zoos, museums, and other crowded places due to an increase in the incidence of coronavirus from January 28 to February 13. In addition, they were denied access to exhibitions, swimming pools and fitness centers, as well as theaters, cinemas, indoor ice rinks and aquariums and other places where they can follow the event as spectators.

All additional education programs implemented outside of schools were decided to be transferred to a remote format. In addition, the authorities banned in-person visits to state sections, circles and studios.
