Moscow authorities told for whom gloves will remain mandatory

After the abolition of the mandatory wearing of gloves in public places, these protective equipment will have to be worn by employees of organizations during technological processes,e.g. in a cafe while cooking

Employees of cafes and restaurants will be required to wear gloves when carrying out technological processes, such as cooking, said Alexei Nemeryuk, HEAD of the Moscow Department of Trade and Services, Interfax reports. Before that, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin canceled the rule requiring all residents of the capital to wear gloves without fail in public places.

“Gloves remain mandatory only during technological operations,” Nemeryuk said.

According to the mayor's decree, the mandatory wearing of gloves is canceled in public transport, taxis, railway stations, stations and passenger platforms, restaurants, cafes, shops and other places.

The requirement to wear masks in public remains in place.
