The first results of studies of the Sputnik V vaccine by the Hungarian laboratory indicate the reliability of the vaccine. The head of the Ministry of Health of Slovakia, Vladimir Lengvarsky, spoke about this on the air of the TA3 TV channel.
“There are already some test results for the Sputnik V vaccine from Hungary. According to Lengvarsky, everything is in order with them, and the results of the research of the Russian side are still pending,” the channel said in a statement.
At the same time, Lengvarsky did not say whether the use of the Russian vaccine would be approved in Slovakia after the final results of the studies.
The Slovak authorities have published a contract for the purchase of "Sputnik V" Politics
Slovakia became the second EU country to have previously registered Sputnik V without the approval of the European regulator. The country agreed with Russia on the purchase of 2 million doses of the vaccine. However, the Slovak State Institute for Drug Control later examined this batch of Sputnik V and allegedly concluded that it was not identical to the one that received a positive review in the authoritative medical journal The Lancet.
