In Svetly, if COVID is detected, unvaccinated people will be suspended from work

In the Svetlovsky urban district, unvaccinated workers will be suspended from work if cases of CORONAVIRUS infection are detected at enterprises and organizations. This was reported by the press service of the regional Rospotrebnadzor with reference to the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the region Elena Babur.

According to the department, the weekly incidence rate in the district for five weeks exceeds the regional average. Thus, from July 19 to July 25, the incidence rate was 304 per 100,000 people (for comparison: the average for the Kaliningrad region is 160). Relative stabilization of the epidemic process, which is now recorded in the region as a whole, is not observed in the Svetlovsky district, the department said.

In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation, Rospotrebnadzor proposed to strengthen control over compliance with restrictions and intensify work on vaccinating the population.

“If a disease is registered at the enterprise, unvaccinated people are suspended from work. Given the widespread spread of the virus and the increase in its contagiousness, a situation is possible when the work of the enterprise can be completely suspended. This will help contain the epidemiological process, but will affect the economy. Therefore, only vaccination, the only measure to cope with the infection, will help in this situation to preserve not only human HEALTH, but also the economic stability of the enterprise,” Babur said.

As RBC Kaliningrad wrote, from July 21 to the end of August, due to the high incidence of coronavirus, a ban on holding all mass events was introduced in the Guryev district. Catering establishments that are located in closed premises (except for educational organizations) can work to take away and deliver orders.
