Patients with the omicron-strain of CORONAVIRUS almost do not complain about the loss of smell and taste disturbance. “Unlike the delta strain and others previously known, patients almost do not complain about the loss of smell and taste disturbance,” the expert said.

According to her, mild and moderate forms of the disease are more often recorded. In addition, experts have found that the symptoms of patients with a new strain develop much faster, said Ruzhentsova.

Previously, Ruzhentsova said that those who fell ill with a new variant of the coronavirus experienced fever, fatigue and weakness. Patients also complain of cough, headache and loss of appetite.
