Uzbekistan produced the first batches of Sputnik V

The first batches of the Russian CORONAVIRUS vaccine Sputnik V have been produced in Uzbekistan at the facilities of the pharmaceutical company Jurabek Laboratories, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) told RBC.

“RDIF organized the technology transfer process for the production of a vaccine in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Validation batches of Sputnik V were sent to the N.I. N.F. Gamaleya for quality control. Positive results of the control will allow the production of commercial batches to begin,” the report says.

"Sputnik V" is produced in Uzbekistan as part of the population vaccination program against covid-19 .

RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev noted that Sputnik V is being successfully used in Uzbekistan against coronavirus, and local production will speed up the vaccination of the population. General DIRECTOR of Jurabek Laboratories Munira Karieva also believes that “localization of production will increase the supply of the Sputnik V vaccine, which is so in demand today.”
