From Monday, May 17, Turkey will ease the restrictions imposed in the country due to the increase in the incidence of CORONAVIRUS infection. The Ministry of Internal Affairs sent the directive "On the gradual normalization of life" to the regional authorities, Anadolu reports.
Now citizens will be allowed intercity trips by public transport outside working hours with 50% occupancy of buses and trains. The exception will be minors and the elderly over 65 years of age.
In addition, shopping centers, hardware and haberdashery stores will be allowed to work from 10:00 to 20:00 on weekdays. Grocery stores and markets will be able to work on weekends, but only from 10:00 to 17:00.

At the same time, a curfew from 21:00 to 05:00 on weekdays and a 24-hour curfew on weekends is maintained until June 1. The directive of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs specifically states that these measures do not apply to tourists and short-term arrivals in Turkey, but they must be observed by foreigners living in the country.
