The cost of holding a wedding in the region has increased by about 20% this year compared to the same period last year. This is stated by Perm representatives of the event sphere.

A number of organizers of events in Perm declare a tendency to refuse to celebrate a wedding during a crisis. And if during the pandemic this was due to severe restrictions, for example, a ban on the work of restaurants, now the reasons are different.

First of all, it concerns financial issues. The costs of contractors are growing, but the majority of the newlyweds in the region were ready for this and do not break the already concluded contracts, wedding organizers say.

“We have rescheduled dates, they are connected, in particular, with weddings that we planned abroad. Those contractors who will make purchases, in particular, catering, menus, alcohol , of course, here, with an increase in prices, we understand that we will have to reduce some positions,” says Svetlana Sokolova, head of GOLDEN LION AGENCY.

They try to start organizing a wedding in a crisis shortly before the event, the hosts say, and not in advance, as it was in previous years. Units, as in a pandemic, transfer the celebration to the future. In addition, in most cases, Permians began to save money on weddings.

“The window is shrinking and, I think, budgets are shrinking. That is, those people who previously planned to celebrate a wedding for a million rubles, roughly speaking, they do it for 700 thousand rubles, if in money. When there was a pandemic, we had a reduced flow of applications, but for the next year, 2021, there were a huge number of events. And I think that the situation that has now become aggravated in the event market, next year it will turn into a very “powerful explosion”, emphasizes host Vyacheslav Toymentsev.

According to the speaker, Permians are reducing the budget of the event by reducing the number of guests, that is, weddings are becoming more "chamber". This is confirmed by the organizers. Nevertheless, those who planned a celebration with guests before the crisis do not refuse it even with such difficulties.

“People book events because they want to get away from this situation in order to relieve their head a little bit from the news that they hear. Perhaps now people will save on one thing - on alcohol, ”concludes presenter Maxim Naumov.

A sharply negative trend in the event sphere of Perm has not yet been noticed. They note: the summer is scheduled almost to the eyeballs and they do not expect cancellations.

“If we compare it with the pandemic, with the first lockdowns, then, yes, now the demand is much higher, the demand is very active, in general. Events are written once a day, there may be several such applications per week. Customers want to save, or meet the same amount that they originally planned. In the realities that we have now, it’s hard to do this, ”said the presenter Artem Chudinov.

There is a demand for holding events, and the hosts systematically raise prices by 15-25%. After all, despite all the conditions, from year to year the wedding market in the region is gaining momentum. One way or another, already in May, the presenters expect an increase in demand and active “booking”. In their opinion, although people began to cut costs, but after long pandemic restrictions, most people want a holiday, experts conclude.
