
The celebration of the City Day on September 11 and 12 in Moscow will be modest, without big concerts and mass events. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated this in an interview with TVC.
“This year there will be such rather modest events - a concert will be held in [park] Zaryadye, a festival “Flower Jam” is being held at the city venues, where you can eat, take a walk, admire installations of flowers, trees, design projects in the field of landscape. In general, of course, the city will be decorated, there will be festive fireworks. But we are not planning any big concerts in the city yet, ”said the mayor (quoted by TASS).
In Moscow, there is still a ban on mass events in connection with the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19 .
Sobyanin announced when City Day will be celebrated in Moscow Society
The fact that the City Day in the capital will be celebrated on September 11-12, the mayor announced on August 12. "Moscow will celebrate its 874th birthday on the second weekend of autumn - September 11-12," the head of the city said. Then he clarified that the format in which the event will be held will be decided based on the “epidemiological situation and current sanitary rules.” At the same time, Sobyanin called the preservation of the health of citizens the main priority of the authorities.
