Severstal limited the admission of new employees and the purchase of goods and services

The RBC Vologda portal learned about the restrictions imposed from its sources. Some of the measures - for example, on recruitment - were taken literally the day before, despite the fact that the reception was not massive before. If earlier several hundred people were required, at least in working specialties, now even they are not needed.

In addition, there is evidence that Severstal has limited the purchase of goods and services, including from small and medium-sized businesses. Changes have been made to the repair and construction program at CherMK and other divisions of the company - according to our information, these works have been suspended in a number of areas.

Also earlier, RBC Vologda reported on the suspension of the sale of non-liquid assets by Severstal, including cars and heavy equipment.

The company itself indirectly confirmed all the measures introduced.

“The limitations are due to the fact that we are currently working on an action program, assessing how we can flexibly use the potential of available resources,” Anastasia Mishanina, head of the external communications department of Severstal PJSC, explained to the RBC Vologda portal.
