Disease and vaccination

As Minister of Health of the Republic Marat Sadykov said today, doctors see the prerequisites for an increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection in the region. He pointed to a serious increase in the number of cases in Moscow and St. Petersburg , noting that the increase in the number of cases in Kazan began in a similar way last year.

“A month ago, we recorded an increase in the incidence, but then the number of infected people decreased. The republic has been on the same level for a long time. However, now there is concern that the incidence will increase,” the minister said.

At the same time, according to Sadykov, the operational headquarters of the Republic of Tatarstan for combating coronavirus has not yet considered the issue of tightening restrictions against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We will see how things develop this week. Later, the headquarters will consider the introduction of certain measures, but so far this issue has not been considered, ”he said.

Also, the introduction of mandatory vaccination was not discussed in the republic. The head of the Ministry of Health urged the population to show awareness. “There are two ways: either we get sick, or we get vaccinated. There is a certain contingent of people who are immune to vaccination, and their antibodies are produced at a later date. These are the average statistical data that were carried out at the stage of research work. Some antibodies appear after 70-80 days. I can cite the results of studies conducted throughout Russia. They say that if a vaccinated patient falls ill at a time when his antibodies have not yet developed, then the disease goes away in a mild form,” Sadykov said.

To date, the Republic of Tatarstan has 77.5 thousand doses of vaccine against COVID-19. In the coming days, another 41.5 thousand are expected to be delivered. Three types of vaccines are available: Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and KoviVac. The drug "Sputnik Light" is registered with the Federal Service for Surveillance in Health of the Russian Federation, has not yet entered industrial production.
