Popova announced an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in 18 regions of Russia

The incidence of CORONAVIRUS is growing in 18 Russian regions, and in 34 it is declining. This was stated by the HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova at a meeting of the presidium of the coordinating council under the government to combat coronavirus, the event was broadcast by the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“The increase in the incidence remains so far in 18 subjects of the Russian Federation. At the same time, thanks to the measures taken and already taken, the number of regions where there is a decrease in the incidence has increased by almost 3.6 times,” she said. According to her, the stabilization of morbidity levels was noted in 34 regions.

According to Popova, following the results of the previous two weeks, a decrease in the incidence rate has been observed in the country; in the previous week, its rate decreased by 6%. At the same time, the head of Rospotrebnadzor noted that now the incidence rate is 175.5 per 100 thousand of the population, which is still a high value.

According to the operational headquarters, the incidence of coronavirus continues to decline in Moscow (2749 against 8440 on October 28) and St. Petersburg (1060 against 3.5 thousand on October 30). Also, a decrease in the number of cases is observed in the Crimea (775 instead of 886 cases on November 20), the Nizhny Novgorod region (759 versus 815 cases on October 30), the Krasnodar Territory (759 instead of 997 on November 20) and the Voronezh region (744 new cases with 802 confirmed diagnoses on November 4). However, all of these regions still occupy a leading position in terms of the number of infections per day.
