In Tatarstan, following Moscow, an increase in the incidence of a new coronavirus infection is expected. According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic, the number of patients with COVID-19 has increased in medical institutions of the region

Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Zhavoronkov said that an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 is expected in the republic.

“Over these two years in Tatarstan, we see the following trend, when the incidence in Moscow begins to increase, then after some time, approximately after 3 weeks, the incidence in our republic begins to grow. Now the situation is about the same, ”he said today during a live broadcast.

According to Zhavoronkov, today an increase in the number of applications to medical institutions of the republic is already recorded.

“We see a slight increase in the number of calls, but I must say that this is an increase in incidence that is not comparable with previous waves. The healthcare system today is working without failures, clearly understanding that the incidence will continue to increase and is already increasing. However, this is not a problematic issue for us,” the deputy minister said.

The incidence of COVID-19, he said, is growing around the world. Doctors are concerned about the increase in the number of cases in Turkey, which is popular with tourists.

“In the world, the incidence of COVID-19 is actively increasing. The situation is especially difficult in the Western Pacific region, and Africa is also restless. Of course, we are not happy with reports from the places where our citizens go on vacation. It is a well-known fact that the incidence in Turkey has increased several times since July, but still we have a huge flow of people spending holidays there. In the Russian Federation, such growth has also begun,” he said.

Over the past day, 25,815 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Russia, the operational headquarters said. This is the maximum since March 23 (then 26,826 cases were registered per day). 2525 people were hospitalized, which is 5.3% less compared to August 10.
