The head of Rospotrebnadzor announced a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19

The incidence rate of CORONAVIRUS in RUSSIA last week decreased for the first time in two months, Anna Popova, HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor, said at a meeting of the coordinating council for combating covid-19 under the government. The broadcast was conducted by the TV channel "Russia 24".

“According to the results of the past 45th week, for the first time we see a decrease in the incidence in two months of continuous rise,” she said.

According to Popova, according to the results of non-working days that passed from October 30 to November 7, the incidence in the whole country decreased by 2%. At the same time, in nine constituent entities of Russia, this figure ranged from 2% (in the Arkhangelsk region) to 23% (in Moscow).

The growth in the number of cases of COVID-19 infection has stopped in 43 regions, and a slight increase is observed in 33 regions, the head of the department said. Only the Amur region is in the phase of active growth, the incidence rate in the region exceeds the national one.
