Dagestan has announced mandatory vaccination against CORONAVIRUS for certain categories of citizens. This is stated in the decision of the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the republic, Nikolai Pavlov.

“I decide to provide preventive vaccinations for epidemic indications against a new coronavirus infection ( covid-19 ) to the following categories: those working in organizations operating in the field of healthcare, education, trade, catering, beauty salons, public transport,” the document says .

Employees of fitness clubs and swimming pools, banks, post offices, multifunctional centers, housing and communal services, culture, children's centers and institutions, state and municipal employees, students, fishers should also be vaccinated.

They should receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by August 9, and the second dose by August 31. Pavlov noted that an analysis of the epidemic situation in the region showed a trend towards an increase in the incidence, especially among adolescents - it increased almost eight times in a month. The number of infections among adults and the elderly increased by 1.5-1.7 times.
