People's Artist of Russia Valery Garkalin, who was taken to the hospital with a diagnosis of COVID-19 , remains in intensive care, the artist's agent told RBC.

“Valery Borisovich is in intensive care, the doctors do not talk about his condition,” Garkalina’s agent said.

On October 5, RBC was told that Garkalin was hospitalized by his daughter Nika. Then she said that her father's condition was improving.

Later, on October 6, GITIS, where Garkalin teaches, announced his transfer to the intensive care unit. According to the press service of the educational institution, the actor was conscious. The institute clarified that the actor's condition worsened on the night of October 6.
