Trade turnover of foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials between Belarus and Mongolia has doubled in 9 months

October 28, Minsk. The trade turnover of foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials between Belarus and Mongolia has more than doubled in nine months, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food held a meeting with a delegation of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia, headed by the Director of the Department of Policy and Planning of Tsenggombo Bolorchuluun. The parties discussed the development of bilateral trade and economic relations.

The Mongolian side is interested in organizing the supply of highly productive pedigree cattle of the Belarusian selection within the framework of an intergovernmental general agreement on the provision of an export credit.

Negotiations were also held with the chief veterinarian of Mongolia, Basan Ganzorig, on the issue of coordinating veterinary certificates for the supply of poultry meat and breeding cattle.

According to the press service, in January-August 2021, the trade turnover of food products and agricultural raw materials with Mongolia amounted to $7.2 million (an increase of 2.2 times) and was completely formed from exports. Main export positions: skimmed milk powder (2.4 times increase) and whole milk powder (142.2%).
