February 24, MINSK. One of the main tasks of the Gosstandart system is to ensure the safety of manufactured products. This was announced by the chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus Valentin Tataritsky at a meeting of the final board of the department, BelTA has learned.
Valentin Tataritsky also noted the unification of standards within the EAEU. "The unified system of technical regulation within the EAEU is being improved. 52 technical regulations have already been adopted for 88% of products in the union market. Regulations for products for children and adolescents, MILK and dairy products, food products, low-voltage equipment, electromagnetic compatibility, perfumes and cosmetics changes have been made," he said.A number of Gosstandart initiatives are being implemented at the EAEU site. “It is in the interests of the Union to speed up the approval of requirements for new products, to build an even more effective mechanism for monitoring their compliance. As a result, safe and high-quality products will be able to enter the common market faster, which means it will become available to our citizens sooner,” stressed the chairman of the committee.
As the HEAD of Gosstandart noted, for this it is necessary to implement a systematic approach to the development and financing from the EAEU budget of technical regulations, interstate standards necessary to meet their requirements, conformity assessment and supervision (control).
