April 24, Minsk . The amount of transactions of Chinese companies on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) in the first quarter increased 7.5 times to $56.3 million, BUCE press secretary Roman Yaniv told a BELTA correspondent.

Director of the Brest branch of BUTB Oksana Kharitonovich took part in the international forum of business contacts "Brest - China . Strategic partnership", which takes place on April 23-25 ​​in the city above the Bug. According to BUCE, in the first quarter of 2024 , the amount of transactions by Chinese exchange trading participants amounted to $56.3 million, which is 7.5 times more than for the same period in 2023. At the same time, China has become the second largest market for Belarusian goods through the exchange platform after Russia, providing about 20% of the total volume of Export sales. In particular, enterprises of the Brest region mainly supplied wood processing products to the Chinese market, and according to the results of the first three months of this year, the amount of exchange contracts with residents of the People's Republic of China reached $400 thousand.
