
November 9, Minsk . The Slutsk cheese-making plant has begun implementing an innovative project for the production of lactoferrin. Tatyana Volozgina, head of the production and technical department of the Minoblmyasomolprom Municipal Unitary Enterprise - the management company of the Myasomolprom holding, spoke about this during a round table at BELTA on the topic "Increasing the economic efficiency of the livestock industry (development strategy, scientific support, product processing)."
“Our enterprises do not stand still. We are developing plans for technical modernization and re-equipment of production, because the equipment must be modern. Managers pay great attention to this issue, a number of investment projects are being implemented,” assured the head of the production and technical department.Thus, according to her, the Kopyl branch is completing a project for the production of instant dry skim and whole milk. Now the program is being developed, equipment is being launched, and by the end of the year production will begin.
"This year, the Slutsk cheese-making plant began implementing an innovative project for the production of lactoferrin; a business plan has already been developed. Pre-design work is currently being carried out. Lactoferrin is one of the components of the body's immune system and a stimulator of the growth of bacteria beneficial to health. The finished product is added to infant formula, healthy food products for athletes, medicinal preparations, dietary supplements, in general - a wide range of actions,” said Tatyana Volozgina.
She added that lactoferrin is in demand on the world market, so its production is also aimed at export . The global supply of lactoferrin is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.64% in value terms to reach $422.68 million in 2032, up from $205.43 million in 2022.
