11 February, Brest. Pruzhany Dairy Plant OJSC will build a new cheese production workshop under the One District - One Project programme.
The DIRECTOR of the enterprise, Aleksandr Los, informed the chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Pyotr Parkhomchik, about the details of the investment project, BELTA reports.
The essence of the project is the reconstruction of the former whole
MILK products workshop. "We bought out the share of the Danone company and are currently doing the reconstruction. We plan to convert
it to cheese making. At the end, we will receive up to 400 tonnes of milk processed there, i.e. about 40 tonnes of cheese. The cheese will be hard, semi-hard and mozzarella," Aleksandr Los noted.
The implementation of the planned project began last year. The equipment has already been ordered from the supplier. In parallel, design and estimate documentation is being developed. The implementation period is the first or second quarter of 2027.
"This is our traditional product. We have been working with cheeses for more than 50 years. The economic effect of the profitability of cheese gives about 15%. This is the effect we plan to work with, definitely not lower," said the director of the plant. It is expected that the necessary documentation will be ready this spring and work will begin on the site. The first building will house the pressing department, cheese salting. A milk reception building will also be added. The reconstruction of the existing ripening chambers is envisaged.

HEAD of the region visits enterprises of both state and private ownership. Petr Parkhomchik visited the Ruzhany furniture company, the Pruzhany dairy plant, the Pruzhany flax mill. He also got acquainted with the progress of the restoration.
