news The beginning of summer for agricultural specialists and farmers and summer residents who just want to stay up to date with the latest trends in the agro-industrial sector is a sure sign that Belagro is close. For 35 years, this international specialized exhibition has been setting the tone in the agro-industrial world. People from all over the world come to us to assess what both partners and competitors have achieved in breeding stress-resistant varieties, improving agricultural machinery models, creating effective fertilizers and veterinary drugs, introducing smart technologies on farms and arable lands, and automating food production processes. it is time to accept the fact that the country's main agricultural exhibition only expands in scale from time to time as an axiom. This year, for example, seven new countries were among the official delegations, the geography of which stretches from southern Europe to southern Africa, which means that they have heard about the successes of the domestic agricultural business there too. Which of them do we not know yet? This is the question BELTA correspondents asked themselves and walked around the exhibition on the first day of its work to tell about the main things, and to show the most interesting things. In Belarus, the annual exhibition of agricultural achievements invariably becomes an event. It is customary to prepare for "Belagro" in advance, and after the exhibitors have vacated the sites, they can savor the results for a long time. There were many unusual things in the preparation of the anniversary, 35th, forum, and the first highlight of "Belagro-2025" was the venue. Regulars of the exhibition are accustomed to the fact that the most valuable of the domestic agricultural achievements are demonstrated on the spacious streets of the industrial park "Great Stone" - traditionally and in a grand style, but far from the capital, which limited visitors. Therefore, in 2025, the main agricultural salon of the country changed its registration and moved inside the Moscow Ring Road, to the recently opened international exhibition center. Now the exhibition area of "Belagro" occupies almost 39 thousand square meters, which is 6.66 thousand square meters more than in the previous year, and this means that the opportunities for presenting the best in the Belarusian agro-industrial complex have expanded, which the flagships of the domestic agricultural machinery industry did not fail to take advantage of.
However, providing the exhibition with space is only half the battle; it is much more important to fill it. Pleasant surprises from year to year are visits from foreign guests, and the more of them, the better, because the interest of foreigners promises new contracts, cooperation projects, and joint scientific developments. Sharing current statistics, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vladimir Grakun spoke about participation in "Belagro-2025" at the level of official delegations from over 20 countries. Among them are those who discovered our forum for the first time: Botswana, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Qatar, Mozambique, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Experienced guests of the exhibition know very well that "Belagro" for Belarusians is not only about "showing off" but also about "looking at others." Under the arches of the international exhibition center,
RUSSIA ,
Germany ,
Italy ,
CHINA , Iran,
Turkey ,
Vietnam , Palestine, Pakistan,
Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and
Uzbekistan will present their achievements in agriculture as exhibitors . Fraternal Russia brought a wide representation: 18 regions of the federation became guests of "Belagro", 12 of them are exhibiting their products - we are talking about Bryansk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Smolensk and Chelyabinsk regions, Krasnodar and Perm Krai,
St. Petersburg and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
For example, Oleg Serbaev, a marketing manager from St. Petersburg, represents a company specializing in the production of spare parts for industrial equipment, food and packaging, they can manufacture spare parts according to drawings at the enterprise's facilities, including for imported equipment. In a word, both the first and second directions are very relevant on the market today. The St. Petersburg company has been working with Belarusian producers for a long time, and sees the goal of participating in Belagro-2025 as strengthening its positions, especially since, according to experts, there are resources for this. Businessmen from St. Petersburg are also ready to consider the prospects for participating in joint high-margin projects in the profile. The platform of the main exhibition of agricultural achievements of the republic is the best fit for discussing promising initiatives.
Hunger is not a threat to us, or How does the SCO intend to provide food for half of humanity? Belagro is also about friendship, primarily in the economy. The conversation turned to this because almost the main point in the program of the grand exhibition event was the forum on ensuring food security of the SCO member countries, which for the first time in such a large number joined eight of the 10 possible participants of the AgroSCO exposition:
Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China and Iran. For Belarus, feeling like a full-fledged member of the "SCO family" is especially significant, since we joined it only in July last year, but we can already offer a lot to our "relatives", including in the provision of food products.
Literally the day before, on Monday, several preliminary meetings with delegations from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, which resulted in agreements on intensifying cooperation in the agricultural vector. In particular, we will develop cooperation in crop production and veterinary medicine with Tajikistan, impressive contracts have also been signed for the supply of canned fish and chilled beef, and in
2024 , Belarusians have already exported almost twice as much agricultural products to the Uzbek buyer as a year earlier, and this success is not the limit.
The Belarusian market has always been interesting to representatives of Kyrgyzstan, and remains so today. An employee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic, Aiperi Djailoobaeva, is ready to vouch for this, noting many similarities in values and upbringing between the Belarusian and Kyrgyz peoples, which also contributes to the scaling of economic ties. Exhibitors from this Central Asian country are participating in Belagro not for the first time, but this year they tried to stand out especially, because when the SCO countries are located in one place to show the best agricultural achievements and are limited by the size of equivalent pavilions, only exhibits remain to surprise. Let's take a look at the Kyrgyz stand. Each of these products is focused on its Belarusian buyer: the famous mountain honey, namely almost transparent sainfoin, which every country collects, a variety of national fermented
MILK products, in particular, kurut, similar to dried
cottage cheese or cheese in the form of balls with a salty-sour taste, traditional sherbet, dried fruits, and also Turkish delight and Central Asian sweets, corn and cucumbers in vacuum packaging, teas that seem familiar, but with a different aroma...
"Our attention is invariably attracted by your well-known dairy
products . The technologies of the Belarusian dairy industry are at a very high level. You have managed to preserve Soviet quality standards, natural recipes - these are the characteristics due to which Belarusian dairy products are popular in Kyrgyzstan, - Aiperi Djailoobaeva shares her impressions, - your glazed curds,
milk , fermented milk products are in demand among our consumers. For our part, we are interested in getting to know the dairy production technologies of Belarusians better. This is the experience that is worth adopting."
And foreigners evaluate not only the Belarusian food industry in a similar way, giving it the highest score both in terms of quality and technological development, but also agricultural machinery.
Muscle flexing by MTZ, or What is the most powerful tractor in the world capable of? Tractors, plows and harrows, seeders and planting machines, mowers and combines, cultivators and cutters - all of the above in their current versions can be found at the Belagro-2025 site. It is no coincidence that the demonstration of equipment attracts a huge number of spectators, both professionals in the field of agricultural machinery and passers-by who accidentally glance at the bright giants. And there is certainly something to look at. The
HEAD of the agricultural engineering department of the Ministry of Industry Andrey Sinilo announced over 20 premieres on the sidelines of the largest agro-industrial forum of the republic, while we de facto exclude from the brackets the approximately 135 samples of high-tech machinery and equipment demonstrated here by the plants of the Ministry of Industry - the best serial samples. The uniqueness of the exposition prepared by heavy industrialists can be seen in the fact that manufacturers present a full range of products - from components to engines.
Having observed from the side, one can come to the conclusion that the author of the most anticipated premiere at "Belagro-2025" is the
MINSK Tractor Works. In general, "MTZ-Holding" time after time becomes the headliner of the agro-industrial forum, widely presenting at the site not only its capabilities in the production of tractors, but also the capabilities of the Smorgon Aggregate Plant, the Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts, the Mozyr Machine-Building Plant, the Orsha Tool Plant, the Minsk Gear Plant. All of them are part of the holding, and, as the General Designer of JSC "MTZ" Sergey Kovalchuk specified, are represented at the forum. From Smorgon, for example, came the BELARUS 09D-01 walk-behind tractor, the BELARUS 131GS lawn mower, several models of mini-tractors and, attention, an exclusive - the BELARUS PK132 self-propelled feed pusher, which the manufacturer shows for the first time.
Each plant of the holding has something to surprise with, this year the BELARUS TRACTORS exposition includes more than 20 units of equipment - here they demonstrate not just tractor equipment, but technologies - power equipment together with units. It is not for nothing that the General
DIRECTOR of OJSC MTZ Sergey Avramenko emphasizes that Belagro has been the central exposition event for Minsk Tractor Plant for many years, the holding always shows the best on its native soil. "We do this not to present the result - rather to show the way. The way to unconditional comfort, high efficiency of the operator and technological safety," - summarized the head of MTZ-Holding.
The main premiere of Belagro-2025, the presentation of the five-hundred-horsepower BELARUS 5425 tractor, fits perfectly into the concept of all of the above - at the moment, according to the general designer of the enterprise, the most powerful in the world in the classic layout.
But of course, not only Minsk Tractor Plant is capable of surprising. The flagship of the domestic combine industry "Gomselmash", this year, by the way, celebrating its 95th anniversary, brought for demonstration at the Minsk International Exhibition Center the super combine GOMSELMASH GS2124 and the high-performance forage harvester GOMSELMASH FS650 with a 650-horsepower engine, the list of exhibits is not limited to themes. In particular, the exhibition forum became a platform for the premiere of the new self-propelled mower GOMSELMASH CS140 and the new universal mobile device GOMSELMASH MS450, suitable for disking, plowing, cultivating and harrowing, suitable for pre-sowing tillage and crops, working with high productivity in chisel loosening, application of organic matter, harvesting forage crops. In a word, versatility is the credo of this unit.
"The high-tech innovations and samples of serial equipment presented at Belagro-2025 are aimed not only at the needs of agricultural organizations in Belarus, they also complement the product line, supplied by Gomselmash for
EXPORT, - notes Deputy Commercial Director - Director of the Marketing and Advertising Center Dmitry Mulyar. - We contribute to providing the Belarusian agro-industrial complex with modern equipment and continue to ship combines to Russia, Kazakhstan and other traditional markets, but at the same time we are working to expand the geography of export deliveries. The list of promising vectors includes Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, African states, including Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Togo, Kenya and others, as well as Argentina and Peru. In these countries, GOMSELMASH equipment is already in operation, and consumers are satisfied with its
price -quality ratio."
We move further along the exposition in search of grain trucks, dump trucks, tank trucks, road trains - equipment that the Minsk Automobile Plant exhibits at Belagro from year to year. We will ask Oksana Mikheeva, Deputy Director for Marketing - Head of the Marketing Department of OJSC MAZ - the management company of the BELAVTOMAZ holding, what the manufacturer has prepared for the guests of the forum this time. As it turned out, in preparation for the anniversary exhibition, the plant decided to focus on innovative developments for the transportation of agricultural products and social-purpose equipment.
"We are presenting several new products at the Belagro site at once. I will list some of them. For example, here is the road train, which was presented for the first time, consisting of the ACIP-14.5 tank truck and the PCIP-11 tank trailer, designed for the transportation of milk and other liquids," Oksana Mikheeva points to the machines. - MAZ pays great attention to the development of transport for the transportation of agricultural products, their removal from the fields and delivery to enterprises for storage and processing, as well as for the subsequent delivery of finished products to consumers. To solve this problem, MAZ, together with the holding company "MAZ-Kupava", developed a road train consisting of a truck tractor and an isothermal semi-trailer. This new product of ours can also be seen at "Belagro-2025".
Minsk Automobile Plant emphasizes: its vehicles are not just equipment, they are part of the production cycle, on which the
harvest and timely delivery of products depend. MAZ does not intend to stop strengthening its position in the special equipment market in order to make work in the agro-industrial complex more technologically advanced and faster.
And here is "Bobruiskagromash", and the first of the new products presented by the company is a grain handling trailer with a lifting capacity of 24 tons, which can be used both for transporting grain from combines and for loading seeders, fertilizer spreaders, crushers and grain packers. Deputy Head of the Mechanization and Automation Department of the Bobruiskagromash Holding Management Company OJSC Sergey Prokopenko assures that this trailer can speed up the transportation process and reduce grain losses. Another important advantage is its gentle treatment of the soil in the fields, since the trailer is equipped with low-pressure tires.
The next new product from Bobruiskagromash, which can be seen at the Minsk International Exhibition Center, is a trailer with a lifting capacity of 30 tons with a front sliding wall. Unloading, according to the deputy head of the department, occurs as follows: the wall moves - the mass is unloaded, that is, to carry out the operation, there is no need to lift the body, which means that unloading can be carried out in low-ceilinged rooms. "This year we also equipped the trailer with a spreading module, so it can also be used as a spreader of solid organic fertilizers. Immediately after the exhibition, it will be sent for testing to the Minsk region," an employee of the holding announced.
Finally, the top three surprises from Bobruiskagromash are completed by a liquid fertilizer spreader with a lifting capacity of 25 tons, equipped with a high-performance pump. Sergey Prokopenko clarified that a full load of 25 tons of equipment lasts only about 5-6 minutes.
A guru machine in soil cultivation and a round-the-clock "sun" for greenhouses, or How do scientists see the technological future of the industry? Science is usually widely represented at the site of the main agricultural salon of the country. Let's turn to the numbers: at least 50 organizations of the National Academy of Sciences will present over 200 innovative developments and technologies for the agricultural production industry at Belagro-2025.
The gaze stops at unusual refrigerators, which only seem to be such. In fact, white glass
cabinets with illuminated shelves are nothing more than home mini-greenhouses - a development of researchers from the Center for LED and optoelectronic technologies. The equipment is very smart and is capable of setting the temperature and regulating the supply of nutrients, carbon dioxide, and light to the plants being grown without human control, and, moreover, adjusting the task based on the variety of the crop and its vegetative stage. After further development,
the scientists hope to scale up the experimental sample they have created to industrial production, which will actually automate the cultivation of vegetables in closed ground. With proper presentation and wide application, the prospects for this invention are enormous.
"We just bought a refrigerator and started to stuff it with our sensors, electronics and other useful functions. At this stage, we are developing our own case," Anna Shchitnikova, a junior researcher at the Center for LED and Optoelectronic Technologies, introduces the details of the stages of the emergence of a unique invention. - In the future, the owners of such equipment will be able to select the type of crops to be grown on the monitor, having previously planted the seeds in a container, for example, we are talking about tomatoes, lettuce, microgreens, strawberries, wild strawberries, and the equipment will independently take care of the plant: it will water, feed, light. A person will only have to harvest. The developers thought out the cyclic process to the smallest detail, even the water will be filtered, and the equipment will assess whether the liquid is suitable for irrigation or not. I think the experimental sample will be completely ready by the end of the year, and then the further fate of the invention will be decided."
One of the most important tasks of digitalization of plant growing - reducing the harmfulness of diseases of agricultural crops - is designed to solve the development of the United Institute of Informatics Problems. Head of the Aerospace Monitoring Laboratory, PhD in Engineering Sergey Kravtsov assures: the software package will allow to increase the economic indicators of agricultural crop cultivation by an order of magnitude, reducing possible losses due to diseases by 30-50% and maintaining the quality of the products. The program already "knows" what late blight and alternaria of potatoes are, can predict septoria of winter wheat and net spot of spring barley. In the future, computer scientists intend to cover about 15 diseases and 11 agricultural crops with the software package for forecasting.
"The agricultural sectors of many countries are facing a shortage of qualified workers. I believe that our creation of the software package is a small step towards solving this problem, since it allows even employees without the appropriate education to obtain results on par with professionals," believes the candidate of technical sciences. "The work on the program was completed last year, and we managed to conduct field tests, which the software package passed. Without a doubt, no matter how worthy the package is, it will always need modernization. We will try to provide it at the proper level."
Interestingly, the scientists have retained free access to the program. This means that any agricultural enterprise, by clicking on a link on the Internet, will be able to use the results of the work of domestic specialists. And the scientists will try to maintain the principle of openness, while finalizing the software package for predicting diseases of agricultural crops and supporting decision-making to reduce the damage they cause.
The exposition of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences for Agricultural Mechanization is presented by original machines, equipment and devices for innovative technologies of the agro-industrial complex. As scientists explain, new developments are indispensable for the mechanization of technological processes in crop production and livestock farming. Among the long list, the AMP-6 stands out - a soil-cultivating modular unit designed for no-till and pre-sowing soil cultivation, moisture retention, field surface leveling and soil compaction, weed control and creation of a fine-grained structure. Among the new products is a software and hardware complex for the positioning system of actuators of milking equipment in robotic milking technology. The basis for controlling this system is a 3D camera, which uses range visualization technology, including triangulation and interferometry methods.
Come and see the only national horse breed - the Belarusian harness horse Listing all the exhibits of the international specialized exhibition "Belagro-2025" seems like an impossible task, but you can definitely see, study in detail and even touch each one, and even try some things in the tasting areas. It is not for nothing that such a large-scale agro-industrial forum is held not for a day, but for five, so that absolutely everyone has time to join the agricultural achievements of Belarusians.
In particular, the most spectacular part of tomorrow's "Belagro" program promises to be the competition for the best breeding horse, timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Belarusian harness breed, which experts describe succinctly and laconically as "calm nobility". Chief livestock specialist-breeder of the department for breeding work in pig, horse and poultry farming "Belplemzhivobedinenie" Tamara Drakina promises: the intrigue will remain until the results are announced. The best stallions and mares from seven farms preserving the gene pool of the breed will compete for the victory. A competent commission, including authoritative Russian experts, will evaluate the horses according to a whole set of criteria: exterior, expression of sexual characteristics, animal movements at a walk and trot, general impression and development. Having looked at the horses up close, we admit: there are very dexterous contenders for the championship, already stamping their hooves in the paddock, there are also much more peaceful contestants, but it is still much more interesting to meet both of them in person.
The meeting place is the same - the Minsk International Exhibition Center, which for several days has turned into the center of agricultural life in the country and abroad. The first day of the forum is coming to an end, but the most interesting - profitable contracts, new business contacts and promising joint projects are still ahead.
