Price index for dairy products at the GDT auction unchanged

The price index for dairy products Global Dairy Trade (GDT) at the auction on October 5 remained at the same position.

Dry buttermilk (+ 9.7%) became the record holder for price growth at these auctions - up to $3,688/t.

Cheddar rose by 0.7% to $4297/t.

Skimmed milk powder rose in price by 0.5% to $3,315/t.

Lactose, butter and anhydrous milk fat went up by 0.4%, respectively, to $1188/t; $4878/t; $5984/t.

And only whole milk powder fell in price by 0.4% to $3,749/t.

Whey powder was not offered in this auction.

In total, 28.7 thousand tons of dairy products were sold. 179 participants took part in the auction.

The next GDT auction will take place on October 19th.
