Thus, based on the results of January-June 2024, payments to livestock farmers for livestock losses under state-supported insurance contracts amounted to 363 million rubles. By comparison, in January-June of last year, insurance companies paid farmers 79 million rubles for livestock losses.

The bulk of payments traditionally come from crop losses .

"In the first half of 2024, agricultural insurers compensated Russian farmers for insured losses totaling almost 2.5 billion rubles. Of this, 2.1 billion rubles were paid out through the state-supported insurance system. This amount is a record for this period," the NSA president commented.
