Tatarstan is one of the first regions in RUSSIA to test a new agrarian support program that will allow self-employed owners of personal subsidiary plots (PSPs) to receive preferential loans on an equal basis with individual entrepreneurs and organizations, the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports . In addition to Tatarstan, the Lipetsk region and Chuvashia will take part in the pilot project, the agency said in a statement.
Farmers will be given a choice of two programs: a short-term soft loan and a long-term soft loan, the department explained. The volume of a short-term loan is up to 1 million rubles for up to 11 months, these funds can be used to purchase any agricultural tools and planting materials that will be needed during the season - seeds, fuels and lubricants, spare parts, plant protection products, fertilizers, young animals, feed, medicinal preparations, grain, FLOUR for the baking industry. A long-term loan is issued for up to 5 years, amounts to up to 2.5 million rubles and can be used to purchase agricultural machinery, equipment for the food industry, machinery and other expensive objects.
The agrarian is required to provide a certificate that confirms that in the period of 12 months before the loan was issued, he was really engaged in agricultural activities, the Ministry of Agriculture noted.
