Since the beginning of the year, Primorsk International Airport has conducted about 200 studies to determine the rabies virus

Samples were sent to the laboratory for research from five regions - Primorsky, Khabarovsk and Kamchatka territories, as well as the Jewish Autonomous and Amur regions.

Studies of materials were carried out in terms of rabies virus antigen (ELISA), rabies virus antigen (MFA) and rabies virus (viral isolation).

Most of the studies were carried out as part of epizootological monitoring of samples taken by state inspectors of Rosselkhoznadzor during the inspection of natural areas. Materials from such wild animals as foxes, wolves, sables, raccoons, wild boars, roe deer and other species of animals were studied.

Research conducted by specialists from the Primorsky International Air Line showed negative results.

Let us remember that rabies is an acute viral disease dangerous to animals and humans. Rabies does not cause any symptoms until the last stage of the disease. At the initial stage, the disease is manifested by a depressed state, attacks of aggression and agitation, as well as fear of water and increased salivation.

In order not to become infected with rabies from wild or stray city animals, you should not approach them; you also need to vaccinate your pets in a timely manner.
