The main importer of Russian meat products in 2024 was Kazakhstan , which received almost three-quarters of the total volume of sausage exports and less than half of canned meat. This trend continues this year. There is also an increase in supplies to Turkey, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. According to the study , China is the last of the ten exporters with 51.3 thousand tons shipped in 2024, while Germany and the United States remain the leaders , exporting 163.1 thousand tons each.

According to the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, Russia ranks first in terms of sausage production in the Commonwealth countries, with a share of 93%. In 2024, production amounted to 2.5 million tons, which is 1.6% more than in 2023, continuing to grow from 2020, with the exception of 2022. In the first half of 2025, according to Rosstat, the total production of sausages in Russia amounted to 4 million tons, which also indicates growth. The largest amount of products was produced in the Central Federal District.
