"Resource" wants to rent Timashevskaya poultry farm

The Tokarevskaya Poultry Farm (Tambov Region), owned by GAP Resurs, filed a petition with the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the use of the property of Timashevskaya Poultry Farm (Samara Region), according to the materials on the service’s website. The application was received by the department on July 27. The press service of "Resource" did not comment on a possible deal to lease assets.

Timashevskaya poultry farm was opened in 2011 and is the largest in the Samara region. The enterprise is designed to produce 140 thousand tons of poultry MEAT and meat products per year. Now the capacities are only partially loaded - 35 thousand tons are produced per year. According to the publication, the company has a new hatchery, two fattening grounds of 72 outdoor poultry houses, a slaughterhouse with a capacity of 4,000 heads per hour, and a slaughterhouse waste processing shop. According to kartoteka.ru, in 2020 the revenue of the Timashevskaya poultry farm amounted to 2.37 billion rubles, the loss exceeded 420 million rubles. The company's accounts payable at the end of 2020 amounted to 2.2 billion rubles.

In September last year, the general DIRECTOR of the poultry farm Anatoly Kozlovsky noted that the third poultry fattening site is already fully prepared at the enterprise, which will increase production by 40%. However, he noted that fluctuations in the exchange rate were not in favor of the investment program. According to Kozlovsky, the company, along with other players in the poultry market, after the start of the pandemic, faced a drop in prices due to the redirection of products by large players from EXPORT destinations to the domestic market. At the same time, demand from the catering sector has decreased.

In June 2021, a bankruptcy procedure was introduced at the poultry farm - the company, as a result of a guarantee, owed 900 million rubles to Rosselkhozbank, Kommersant writes. In August, the poultry farm was able to challenge the guarantee agreement in COURT. Nevertheless, the arbitration court has already accepted for consideration the new claims of the Russian Agricultural Bank to the enterprise, as well as Sberbank in the amount of 1.5 billion rubles.

The executive director of Rincon Management, Konstantin Korneev, believes that Resource should have no difficulty in acquiring new assets. “For this company, the current situation is not problematic, because in terms of competencies, infrastructure and sales structure, they can easily scale production,” the expert said. — I do not represent significant risks in this story. This is built into the "Resource" structure. You need to understand that the more a company increases its geographical presence, the better for it. This is being done as part of the expansion of distribution to different regions.”

Korneev also said that part of the poultry farms were built not so much on the principle of optimal climatic location, but on the principle of local provision of regions. From the point of view of climate, the Samara region is not a zone of risky poultry farming, the expert noted. “Many large producers have experience in creating agricultural enterprises in such climatic conditions as in the Samara region. There is a good forage base, good logistical accessibility, there is where to get raw materials,” he said. - The most optimal places for poultry farming include the Belgorod region and a number of regions of the Southern Federal District. A comfortable temperature is maintained there throughout the year, when manufacturers do not need to spend a lot of resources on heating or cooling containment buildings, ”concluded Korneev.
