Meat production with a capacity of 3.2 thousand tons will be launched in the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan

Akim of Kostanay region Archimed Mukhambetov held talks with ASK GROUP KAZAKHSTAN LLP regarding a promising project for the construction of a livestock complex in the Dzhangeldy district. The HEAD of the region announced this on his page in social networks.


The volume of investments under the project will amount to 11.2 billion tenge and 80 jobs will be created. The project provides for the fattening of 4 thousand heads of cattle and 4 thousand heads of horses, as well as the production of 3.2 thousand tons of MEAT per year.

Akim noted that the project is at the implementation stage and maximum assistance will be provided for its successful launch.

Recall that Kazakhstan currently provides domestic demand for beef, horse meat, pork by 80%, and for sausages by 56.4%. As part of the import substitution program, by the end of 2025, it is planned to put into operation 24 meat processing plants. The implementation of investment projects is planned for 2022, including seven meat processing plants, 10 projects for the construction and expansion of poultry farms. These projects will be implemented in 13 regions for a total of 38 billion tenge.

It was also previously reported that this year it is planned to open service and procurement centers for receiving skins in three districts of the Kostanay region.
