They launched their own incubator at the beginning of the year - a modern, automated one. The decision was made, as they say in the company, the right one. The company will only benefit from this. LenTV24 correspondent Evgenia Bulatova shared the details.
“There are about 30,000 turkey poults in this poultry house. This baby is about 9 days old. They began to be born on the holiday of March 8, the babies have constant access to food and water. And the air temperature is maintained at 35 degrees. That's how much you need for a healthy population." – Evgenia Bulatova, correspondent.
This nursery is already the second home for turkey poults. Employees of the company look after their health and growth every day. Add food and water. Birds should be warm and nourishing. You have to move carefully, the chickens are spinning under your feet. When they grow up they will be transferred to another poultry house. In this offspring, the hatchability was 89%, and 96% of the chicks survived. Here they say this is a very good result.
They hatched in a new modern automated incubator. In just a few days, all the chickens were born. Thanks to this complex, the enterprise will receive 35,000 turkey poults in one cycle. The incubator cost more than two and a half million rubles. But the investment will pay off, the company is sure.
“First of all, this is stability, stability in obtaining young animals. Previously, we bought young animals in Europe, and there were constant difficulties with supplies, and we could not fully load production. After installing our incubator, we can already work on getting our own eggs and increasing production, and stability is the most important thing.” - Aslan Tumov, General Director of Concord .
As long as they continue to buy eggs. But the expansion of production and the transition to a full cycle are not far off, although this, as they say in the company, is a laborious process. Now the main thing is to find specialized specialists who will breed turkeys. And then the company of the Leningrad region will no longer depend on European suppliers.
Turkeys are fed with various Russian-made feeds, this is a mixture of grain vitamins and minerals. The company undergoes daily strict veterinary control at all stages. They look at the microclimate, sanitary conditions for keeping poultry, the quality of feed.
“Daily monitoring of the health status of poultry from turkeys to adult turkeys, veterinary and sanitary examination of products that are obtained at the enterprise. Accompanying veterinary documents, and control at all stages of storage. Labeling, storage conditions. – Leonid Krotov, Head of the Veterinary Department of the Administration of the Leningrad Region.
The enterprise was founded in 2005 and is the largest producer of turkey meat in the Leningrad region. There are 12 poultry houses on the farm. Three sites are involved, two in the Tosnensky district and one in the Luga region. After 120-150 days, the birds grow to the desired size. And they go to implementation. There is also a full-cycle processing shop to semi-finished products.
The turkey is packed. Production is partially automated. It is sent to stores chilled in vacuum packaging or in large briquettes. The company also produces sausage and turkey meat. This year the company plans to produce 4,000 tons of poultry meat. This will be more than all previous years.
