Full cycle meat: how Sibagro production works

In the production of MEAT products, you need to be sure that you are working with high-quality raw materials. This can be guaranteed when not only animals, but also food for them grow under the strict control of the manufacturer. One of the largest meat producers in RUSSIA is the Sibagro company, whose products are manufactured according to this principle.

The hometown of Sibagro is Tomsk. it was from the enterprise located in the Tomsk region that a large agricultural holding eventually grew. The Tomsk.ru edition told how Sibagro produces pork, working on the principle of a closed cycle.

One of the main secrets of Sibagro and its products is its own feed base. To do this, the company has its own fields, where plants are grown for the production of feed, which are then supplied to Sibagro's pig farms. This not only guarantees the quality of feed, and as a result, meat, but also significantly reduces the cost of the final product.

“Closed cycle is the basis of any successful production. First, we apply organic fertilizers to the fields, then we get a good harvest, we harvest it, and on high-quality, excellent grain we get animal feed, which gives good weight gain. What animals eat during growth goes to waste, then to processing and to the fields, and so on in a circle - from land to land, ”says Sergey Mamonov, HEAD of the Sibagro crop production department.

Thanks to Sibagro, the Tomsk Region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory and other Siberian regions have actually ceased to be considered a zone of risky farming. Yield indicators on 200,000 hectares of the company's land in Siberia not only are not inferior, but often exceed those in the central and southern regions of Russia. For example, in the Novosibirsk region, Sibagro agricultural technicians, thanks to a scientific approach and high-intensity technologies, managed to achieve a yield of 80 centners per hectare (against an average of 30–35 centners per hectare in the region).

Wheat, rapeseed, oats, soybeans, triticale and peas obtained from the fields are processed at their own factories, which are located in almost every Sibagro pig farm (in Tomsk, the Urals, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk). Each plant produces seven types of feed. After all, pregnant sows need one feed, lactating sows need another, newly born piglets need a third, and so on.

The total number of pigs at eight Sibagro pig farms is 1.7 million. The quality of livestock largely depends on the work of breeders. Thoroughbred pigs are supplied to Sibagro enterprises by a pig farm in the Tyumen region. He controls the purity of the breed of pigs for five generations of the animal. There are only nine enterprises in Russia that conduct such activities.

But the conditions of keeping animals are no less important for obtaining quality products. Sibagro uses automated microclimate, dry feeding and watering systems to keep pigs. A manure removal system has also been set up. The maximum lifetime of the oldest Sibagro workshop is 10 years.

More than 365 thousand tons of meat are produced annually by all pig farms. Part of it goes to the market, part - to three own meat processing plants. They are located in the Tomsk, Sverdlovsk and Novosibirsk regions. The depth of processing allows almost complete processing of the pork carcass.

Previously, each of the Sibagro meat processing plants produced products under its own trademarks, now the assortment has been unified. Everything is produced under a single brand. Despite the fact that the sites are different, everything is produced using the same technology and the same quality standards. The holding has more than 100 wholesale buyers: large retail chains, meat processing plants.

Alas, pig breeding is impossible without waste. For an enterprise that does not have its own crop production, the disposal of manure and other waste products of pigs is a big problem. But in Sibagro the problem was turned into an advantage. Pig manure is an ideal fertilizer. At the enterprises it is collected in lagoons. There, for a certain time, the process of disinfection, neutralization is carried out. Then organic matter is applied to the fields.

Thus the cycle is closed. Waste helps to get a good harvest, plants are used to make mixed fodder, it is fed to pigs, high-quality and tasty chilled meat, sausages, sausages and other Sibagro products are made from pigs.
