Melnichenko held talks with representatives of PJSC Cherkizovo Group

Last Thursday, the Acting Governor of the Penza Region held talks with representatives of PJSC Cherkizovo Group.

Oleg Melnichenko emphasized that Cherkizovo agro-industrial company is a strategic investor and an important business partner of the Penza region. “Cherkizovo is doing a lot of work in the region to create production facilities and support social initiatives,” he added.

Member of the Management Board of PJSC Cherkizovo Group Leonid Izmailov reported on the current activities of his enterprises, and also shared his plans for the implementation of new projects.

At the moment, the main sites and activities of the public joint-stock company in the region are the Vasilyevsky poultry farm, pig breeding complexes, the Penza branch of the Cherkizovsky MEAT processing plant, as well as crop production enterprises and feed mills.

Since 2015, the company has invested more than 12 billion rubles in the development of Penza production facilities. During this period, about 5 thousand jobs were created.

The products of the Vasilyevsky Poultry Farm occupy a leading position in the segment of chilled poultry meat on the market of the Volga and Central Federal Districts. Over the past year, the sale of poultry for slaughter in live weight amounted to about 144 thousand tons, egg production - about 85,000 thousand pieces.

This year, it is planned to increase production volumes in terms of poultry sales - up to 159 thousand tons, eggs production - up to 103,000 thousand pieces.
