Igor Brylo: By 2020, Belarus should produce at least 9.2 million tons of milk per year

“The number of heads in farms of all categories as of January 1 amounted to 1.5 million heads. MILK production in the Republic of Belarus at the end of 2016 amounted to 7.1 million tons, including 6.8 million tons in agricultural organizations. The average milk yield was 4.9 tons per cow. In 466 agricultural organizations, the productivity of the dairy herd was 5 tons, in 92 organizations it exceeded 7 tons, and in 4 organizations - more than 10 tons. On farms with modern technologies, more than half of the dairy herd is located and more than 60% of milk is produced. The marketability of milk in agricultural organizations in 2016 amounted to 89.7%,” said Igor Brylo.

Earlier it was reported that by 2020 the dairy EXPORT of the Republic of Belarus could reach $2 billion.
