Producer prices for chicken meat in Russia increased by 0.7% over the week - Ministry of Agriculture

Producer prices for chicken MEAT in the Russian Federation increased by 0.7% over the week, for live poultry - by 2%, according to the materials of the Ministry of Agriculture.

"The weighted average price of agricultural producers (excluding VAT) in the Russian Federation as of October 20, 2021 for live poultry amounted to 96.59 thousand rubles / t (2% per week), for chicken meat (carcass) - 134.26 thousand rubles ./t (0.7% per week)," the ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Agriculture recalled that, according to Rosstat, in January-August 2021, 4 million 53.9 thousand tons of chicken meat were produced, which is 1.7% less than the figure for the same period in 2020. The ministry noted that the weighted average price of agricultural producers in the Russian Federation as of October 20, 2021 for pigs in live weight decreased by 1.5%, to 120.90 thousand rubles / t, for half-carcass pork - by 1.6%, up to 183.22 thousand rubles / t. According to Rosstat, pork production in agricultural organizations in January-September 2021 increased by 0.5%, to 3 million 574.5 thousand tons.

According to the operational data of the food safety monitoring and forecasting system of the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA, the weighted average price of agricultural producers in the Russian Federation as of October 20, 2021 for live weight cattle (cattle) decreased by 0.3% and amounted to 129.1 thousand rubles / t , for half-carcasses of beef - increased by 0.6%, to 265.3 thousand rubles per ton (+0.6% for the week). According to Rosstat, the production of cattle in agricultural organizations in January-September 2021 increased by 4.8% and amounted to 775.3 thousand tons.
