Since the beginning of the year, 2,353 studies have been carried out , as a result of which the genetic material of the bovine leukemia provirus was found in five samples .

Experts note: bovine leukemia is a chronic retroviral proliferative diseasecharacterizing diffuse infiltration of tissues and the appearance of tumors, which is asymptomatic in the initial stages. The disease is included in the List of contagious and other animal diseases.

PCR is a direct diagnostic method with high sensitivity and specificity, and allows you to detect the virus as early as 1-2 weeks after infection, in this regard, this method is applicable to young animals older than 15 days of age, and thus allows you to identify diseased animals on the most early stages.
