Driver with 2.2 ppm of alcohol caused an accident in Kobrin

November 21, Brest. A resident of the Kobrin district was detained twice in three days for drunk driving, BELTA reports, citing the State Traffic Inspectorate Department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

The incident happened to a 42-year-old man. Being drunk (2.2 ppm of ALCOHOL), he got behind the wheel of an Audi on the morning of November 20. Turning in front of one of the houses on Svobody Square, the driver crashed into a Nissan driven by a 56-year-old driver.

"It is worth noting that on November 18, the traffic police detained the Audi driver for drunk driving. A medical examination then showed 1.5 ppm of alcohol in the exhaled air," the regional State Traffic Inspectorate added.
