October 7, Minsk . In Minsk, a drunk driver hit an emergency service worker, BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

The accident happened at 4.25. “The 44-year-old driver of a Skoda on the overpass between Mayakovskogo Street and Denisovskaya Street was inattentive and hit an emergency service worker who was in the first lane next to a specially marked vehicle servicing the overhead trolleybus network,” the traffic police said.

The 57-year-old victim was taken to hospital for examination.

It turned out that the driver was drunk at the time of the accident. The result of a medical test is 1.96 ppm of alcohol in his body.

The man was detained and taken to the authority conducting the administrative process, and the car was placed in a guarded parking lot. A notification letter will be sent to the violator’s place of work.

Employees of the traffic police department of the Leninsky district police department of Minsk and the investigative and operational group of the traffic police of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee worked at the scene of the accident.
