January 6, Brest. In Brest, a traffic police officer rescued an elderly man who was lying on the roadway, Natalia Milyukova, official representative of the Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate, told BelTA.
The incident occurred late at night on January 5 on Voykov Street. A traffic police officer saw a man lying on the roadway, who smelled strongly of ALCOHOL. He did not react in any way to the words of the inspector: it seemed that he was sleeping very soundly. The law enforcement officer called an ambulance and until the arrival of the doctors was next to the pedestrian. He was diagnosed with severe alcohol intoxication and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
“Thanks to the competent and actions of the traffic police officer and the immediate arrival of the ambulance, it was possible to prevent the tragedy and save the life of a person. There is no place for alcohol and indifference on the road. If you see a drunk person, report it to 102,” said Natalya Milyukova.
