In Belarus, more than 1 thousand people were brought to justice for moonshining in six months

August 3, MINSK . In the first half of the year, more than 1 thousand Belarusians were prosecuted for the production of moonshine. BELTA was informed about this by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The police identified and liquidated a moonshine production plant in the Vileika district. it is reported that the illegal production was established by two residents of the village of Vyazynka. The police seized 970 liters of the finished product and equipment for its production. In addition, almost 3 tons of mash were destroyed.

In total, in the first half of the year, police brought more than 1 thousand citizens to administrative responsibility for such violations. More than 3 thousand liters of moonshine and 63 thousand liters of mash were seized from them.

As the department noted, the fight against moonshine helps reduce the number of deaths from ALCOHOL. Every year, more than 1.5 thousand people die in the country due to such poisonings.
