July 12, Minsk . The Leninsky (Minsk) regional department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against three college students who desecrated the State Flag of Belarus. This was reported to BelTA by the Investigative Committee.

According to the investigative department, on July 7, three young people aged 16 and 17 met near the Partizanskaya metro station. They were walking around the city and decided to have a drink. At the home of one of the teenagers, they usedalcohol and went outside again. On the facade of one of the shops, the teenagers saw the state flag. The figurants tore it off and threw it to the ground. Along the way, they tore the flag off another building. In addition, upon returning home, they damaged a car, a rental bike and other property. In the shortest possible time, the defendants were detained by police officers. The teenagers pleaded guilty to the crime.

A criminal case has been initiated against minors under Article 370 (desecration of state symbols) of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are being carried out with the participation of the detainees. The final legal assessment of the actions of teenagers will be given after the completion of the investigation.
