July 26, Minsk. Preventive work to suppress offenses during field work gives a result. This was reported to BelTA in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Strada is a hot time not only for agricultural workers, but also for policemen. To ensure the country's food security, it is not enough to put grain in the hangars, it is equally important to ensure its safety, to monitor the intended use of fuel and funds allocated for the purchase and repair of equipment "The inspections carried out showed that the facts of illegal enrichment and additions, as well as violations of discipline in the workplace, take place. During the sowing and harvesting, about 700 protocols were drawn up, including more than 100 for admission to driving while intoxicated. In addition, in six months, the operatives of the BEP units revealed 561 crimes in the field of agriculture, and this is one in four of all economic crimes in the country," the press service said.
To prevent downtime of agricultural machinery, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, checks the readiness of equipment for field work twice a year. Under special attention are also places for storing crops and material values. No less attention is paid to road safety. During the preparation for the harvest campaign, traffic police officers detained 10 drunk drivers. Another 12 times the equipment was controlled by lawless people. To suppress violations of the law, mobile groups of police officers travel daily to farms throughout the country. Over the past weekend, raid groups of police officers visited the Grodno and Vitebsk regions.
Preventive work pays off. In two weeks, more than 200 workers were identified in Belarus who were in a state of intoxication at the workplace . Almost 50 of them worked as watchmen. More than 8.7 tons of stolen fuel and lubricants, more than 1.7 tons of grain and more than 29 tons of mixed fodder were confiscated. In some cases, the volumes appropriated are comparable to industrial ones. In particular, in the Grodno region, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confiscated more than 22 tons of compound feed and 650 liters of colored diesel fuel from a driver of an agricultural enterprise. In the Mogilev region, a group of people who stole more than 3.5 tons of compound feed and 600 liters of chemicals from a poultry farm were caught red-handed.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the state provides great support to the agricultural industry and these investments are under strict control.
