MINSK . A group of guys in Pinsk stole a boat and sank
it in a lake; a criminal case has been opened. This was reported to BELTA by the Brest Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs.
A resident of the Pinsk District contacted the police duty service and reported that a group of young people were trying to launch his neighbor's boat. On the spot
law enforcement officers found out that the group of guys had been relaxing on the lake shore throughout the day, drinking
ALCOHOL . At some point they got bored and decided to have some fun with a boat on the shore. A 19-year-old unemployed graduate of Pinsk College suggested going for a ride on a homemade small vessel that was not secured in any way.
The owner of the boat, a neighbor who lived in close proximity to the lake, saw what was happening. Without thinking, he reported the incident to his friend and the police. By the time law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, the young people had managed to swim a few meters from the shore and sink the vessel.
The young people explained to law enforcement that they only wanted to swim in the boat, but the vessel could not withstand all four of them and sank.
Investigators gave a legal assessment of the actions of the 19-year-old guy. A criminal case was opened against him for hijacking.
