An analysis of the operational situation in the republic shows that we are in fact in a state of information warfare, Gennady Kazakevich, Deputy Minister of the Interior - Head of the Criminal Police, told reporters. BelTA was informed about this by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He faces up to 20 years in prison.

"The Ministry of Internal Affairs draws attention to the fact that all such calls come from fugitives who are abroad. Calling for peace in Ukraine, they actually call for war and terrorist attacks in our country. We regard these facts as acts of terrorism. And they pose a threat, first turn, not to the state, but to the people," the deputy minister noted. "Today we detained another 35-year-old "rail partisan" in Zhodino. We continue operational activities and, as promised, we will find everyone and protect our citizens."

Gennady Kazakevich stressed: "We warn everyone who even thinks of committing any illegal actions on the Belarusian railway: all of them will be qualified as an act of terrorism and the reaction will be as harsh as possible."
