
March 16, MINSK. Annual inflation in Poland hit a record high since 1996 in February, amounting to 18.4%, radio RMF24 reports, citing data from the Central Statistical Office of the Republic.
According to statistics, during the year food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 24%, transport costs increased by 23.7%, and the cost of energy increased by 22.7%.it is noted that the "record holder for the high cost" was SUGAR, which has risen in price by 85.5% over the year. A similar situation has developed with fuel, prices for which rose by 53.6% year on year.
At the same time, experts predict that in the near future the rise in prices in the country will continue.
