The active phase of the harvesting campaign continues in the Saratov region

The active phase of the harvesting campaign continues in the region: in the last 24 hours alone, 200,000 tons of grain from the 2023 crop have been harvested.
Today, the region's grain growers have passed a new milestone: the gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 2.07 million tons. The average yield is 27.3 q/ha. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region - the Minister of Agriculture of the region Roman Kovalsky.
The first 100,000 tons of grain have already been threshed in six districts of the region. Farmers from the Engels, Krasnokutsk, Kalininsky and Samoilovsky municipal districts have joined the harvesting leaders in 2023 - the Pugachevsky and Ershovsky districts.
Balashovsky, Kalininsky and Romanovsky districts show the highest yield - 46.6 centners per hectare, 41.7 centners per hectare and 40.7 centners per hectare, respectively.
“Every year, the Saratov region completely covers its demand for grain and has the opportunity to sell the surplus outside the region. Since January of this year, we have shipped about two million tons of grain and products of its processing, including 486.5 thousand tons for EXPORT . And, as the Governor of the region Roman Busargin has repeatedly noted, we are ready to expand trade and economic cooperation with friendly countries,” said Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, Minister of Agriculture of the region.
