Preparations for spring sowing in the left-bank regions were discussed in the Saratov region

Preparations for the conduct of spring field work in the left-bank districts of the region were discussed at an off-site meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture of the region, which took place in the settlement. The discussion of the agenda was attended by the chairman of the committee on agrarian issues, land relations, ecology and nature management of the regional parliament Ivan Baboshkin, heads and specialists of the regional ministry of agriculture, the first deputy minister of natural resources and ecology of the region Denis Troshin, heads of municipal districts of the Left Bank and heads of district departments / departments of agriculture, agricultural producers, heads and representatives of scientific and public institutions and organizations and insurance companies, manufacturers and suppliers of agricultural machinery and equipment, seeds, fertilizers and plant protection products.
Igor Gridnev, head of the Department of Crop Production, Technical Policy, GIS Technologies, Melioration and Social Development of the Village of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, noted that this year the field work will begin at a later date due to "the late deployment of spring processes."
The share of sown areas in the regions of the Left Bank in 4 million 167 thousand hectares of sown area in the region will be 56% - more than 2.3 million hectares, said Igor Gridnev. Despite the fact that adjustments will be made to the structure before the start of sowing, as of today, the sown area will be increased in Ozinsky, Ershovsky, Rivne, Novouzensky, Marksovsky, Ivanteevsky and Sovetsky municipal districts. The task of farmers on the eve of spring sowing is to bring the winter wedge to maximum productivity.
During the meeting, the participants of the operational headquarters discussed all the components of a successful sowing campaign, measures of state support for agricultural producers with an emphasis on innovations in 2023, emergency insurance of crops, labor protection issues in agriculture, and measures to prevent agricultural burns.
“We need to carry out spring sowing at the optimum time. We have all the necessary resources for this,” Roman Kovalsky emphasized, summing up the results of the meeting of the operational headquarters, and outlined the main tasks facing the farmers of the region. Among them is the implementation of the area structure formed and agreed by the Federal Ministry, the maximum preservation of winter crops, increasing the volume of mineral fertilizers and their rational and competent use, work to increase the share of competitive seeds of domestic selection.
In addition, the head of the agrarian department drew attention to the further renewal of the agricultural machinery fleet and the use of preferential loans and leasing programs, the continued construction of warehouses and grain dryers, taking into account the record harvests of the region's farmers, the further introduction of advanced agricultural technologies and the study of world experience and positive practices of neighboring regions, the development of horticulture . Taking into account the flood situation, Roman Kovalsky noted, it is necessary to pay great attention to the reclamation complex, to fill the reservoirs to the maximum in order to provide water for household needs and reclamation needs, to participate as much as possible in the state program for the development of the reclamation complex.
The Deputy Chairman of the Government instructed the heads of districts to keep under special control the putting into circulation of unused lands and promptly respond to the difficulties and problems of agricultural producers, since the agricultural industry is a backbone for the left-bank districts of the Saratov region.
