Farmers of Kabardino-Balkaria have started spring field work. Fertilization of winter crops has begun on the fields.
According to preliminary data, 58.3 thousand hectares have been sown with winter crops in the republic this year. The condition of the main part of winter crops is assessed as good and satisfactory. Top dressing has already been carried out on an area of 17.5 thousand hectares.
Spring field work in Kabardino-Balkaria this year started a little earlier than last year.
Traditionally, the southern regions of the country are the first to start spring field work. In Kabardino-Balkaria, the state of winter crops and the readiness for sowing spring crops are monitored on a daily basis by specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture of the KBR, a branch of the Russian Agricultural Center and the Agrochemical Service, as well as municipal authorities of the agro-industrial complex.
