At the end of June, a regional seminar on the issue of fodder procurement in 2022 was held on the basis of the Zimnitsky farm in the Dubrovsky district.
it was attended by Deputy DIRECTOR of the Department of Agriculture Vadim Goryainov, representatives of the Department of Agriculture, heads of district agricultural departments, federal services, heads of agricultural enterprises in the region and representatives of agricultural science.
The location of the seminar was not chosen by chance, SPK "Zimnitsky" is a stably operating enterprise that specializes in the production of MILK and grain crops. In 2019, the farm received the status of a breeding farm. The total area of agricultural land is 5038 hectares, of which 1594 hectares are occupied by grain crops, 3444 hectares by fodder crops. In terms of milk yield, SPK Zimnitsky is one of the leaders in the region. As of January 1, 2022, the number of cattle amounted to 2111 heads, including 730 cows. Milk production for 2021 amounted to 6151 tons, milk yield per feed cow - 8426 kg.
Alexey Gusarov, chairman of the Zimnitsky SEC, told the participants of the seminar about the production and economic activities of the farm and showed
a mini feed mill with a capacity of 12 tons per day and a grain drying complex. He noted that the main reasons for the increase in gross milk production on the farm, in addition to a solid forage base, are also the reproduction of the herd and work with genetics. On the territory of the farm there are 3 points of artificial insemination of livestock.
Alexander Frolov, the HEAD of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosselkhozcenter in the Bryansk region, addressed with recommendations on the use of starter cultures in the ensiling of fodder and checking the quality of fodder during the harvesting period. Petr Prudnikov, director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Bryanskgrohimradiology", spoke about the results of the feed quality research.
As part of the seminar, haylage laying for storage was demonstrated. As of the date of the event, 400 tons of hay (40% of the plan) and 5 thousand tons of haylage (83%) were harvested at the Zimnitsky farm.
At the end of the seminar, Vadim Goryainov noted that this year it is necessary to take appropriate measures to provide livestock with fodder at the rate of at least 25 centners of feed units per conditional head of livestock, and also, simultaneously with harvesting, it is necessary to check samples of hay and haylage for their quality.
In total, the region will have to prepare for the existing livestock: hay - 115 thousand tons, haylage - 897 thousand tons, silage - 1.2 million tons or 565 thousand tons of feed units.
Hay harvested 41 thousand tons (36% of the plan), haylage - 189 thousand tons (21%), silage laid 0.4 thousand tons.
During the active dialogue between the participants, all questions of interest on the topic of the seminar were considered.
